Gun parts?

Hello, all. This was a surface find by my nephew. Found not far from a set of railroad tracks that are quite old. It measures 9" long and 4" wide at the widest point. The top left portion has a definite trigger like feel and appearance which doesn't come through in the photograph. There is also a small set screw just below the break in the wishbone shaped portion. Any ideas appreciated.

Haven't the foggiest idea. My nephew thought the top left was a trigger, so he naturally assumed it was a gun part. It certainly isn't any gun part that I recognize.
