Gun Piece Maybe??

Dug this up and my immediate thought was "gun part!" Army Infantry Vet coming out ha ha. Can anyone help me out? Thanks in advance!

Could be part of a window or trunk latch, something along those lines. I don't see it as being anything firearm related.
