Gun tool?

My buddy found this yesterday at a CW site that we hunted. Looks kinda like a worm or cleaning jag but may be a little big for a worm. Don't know. It is hollow in the end but can't tell if it is threaded. 58c ball for size reference. What's your thoughts? Thanks

That's what we wonderd, but it is a lot bigger than the holes that are in the pulled bullets I have.
