Nice uns!

Two hardstone pieces in one day is too cool Jeff.

That was a great day! If I find even one piece of hardstone, its a banner year! For some reason, I just don't find a lot of hardstone here in my fields even though they have been deep-plowed.

Nice ones.

Jeff, looks like a fun day. That celt looks super polished from here. Congrats man!

Excellent finds Jeff, congrats.

Molly.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Yes, the celt is super polished and great material. It's kind of strange that it broke once, was used again and nearly broke the entire bit off again. Whoever made it was very fond of the piece and I can't say as I blame them because it's a fine celt. It's the first creased poll celt that I have found.

Hice hunt Hippy. I have a polished like glass celt that they cracked the bit and then decided to dig out the bottom of it. Its shaped more like a wedge though with a round back. Ancient man had fun I think !

"Looks like Indiana material"

I actually thought the same thing about that axe becasue we don't get a lot of full grooves around here but they do in Indiana. However, they were found in eastern Iowa.
