Looked out a the front window yesterday morning about 11:00,
and saw this healthy Blacktail buck standing there browsing on
the bushes..

My wife's nurse tried to take a few pics with her cellphone, but
it was through the window, and I knew they would not turn out
well, so, I sneaked across the porch and into my shop where I
had my Nikon.
I made a rather quiet vocal "buck grunt", and it immediately got
his full attention..

Not spooked in the least, he walked out to the end of the driveway,
crossed the street and hopped over the fence into my neighbors
yard..

Browsed there for a few minutes, then, acting like he didn't have
a care in the world, he wandered back into the woods and down
the edge of our property. He made his way back to the riverbank,
and then headed off into the woods.

He's going to be a handsome 3x3 when that velvet wears off his
antlers...hope he comes back for a visit.
