Had doubts but scored a silver

I hunted my friend's yard today. His house was built in 1954 so I figured there could be some good stuff to be found. Well after an hour or so of detecting I only had 4 or 5 pennies and a clad dime. I decided that the place must have been hunted out at some point so I started detecting my way back to my car. About half way there I finally got a good signal about six inches down. So I popped up this muddy plug and grinned when I saw a silver rim sticking out. I then continued to hunt for another 30 - 45 minutes and found nothing else. Probably the least change I've ever found in one hunt.
