There´s a local church from the 60s that shut down and is becoming a township park/community center. It´s old farmland but only found modern things. There are more Matchbox cars in the sand, I just was getting soaked and stopped. The medal is for a sailors with disabilities race in 1995. I can´t find a clean picture online, of the front. Thanks for looking!!!

Here’s a better picture of the design, produced by the engraver Kurt Mager of Des Plaines, Illinois in 1975. It’s a montage of the city’s heritage and identity including the city skyline with the John Hancock Centre, the Picasso statue, a Native American figure, a train, and the Chicago Board of Trade bull.

Mager produced similar engraved montages for other major cities including Los Angeles (1977), San Francisco (1982), New Orleans (1984), and Atlanta (1986). The designs were widely used for things like collectible paperweights, medallions, and souvenir keychains produced by the Medalcraft Mint in Green Bay, Wisconsin. That one above is from a souvenir keychain for the MLB Chicago Cubs.
