Ordered a $500 box of halves Monday. Today I went in to pick it up.
Teller and an assistant took an unusually long time in the vault. They have a sort of intermediate room with a glass door you pass through before opening the door to the vault. I heard their voices and turned around to look and she and another teller were dumping hand-rolled rolls into a plastic bag.
A lot of them had phone numbers on them, and I was kinda of disappointed, though of course being hand-rolled (while stacking the odds against me) does not mean they will not produce. Too many of you guys have found amazing stuff in hand-rolled rolls.
It is just that when I order a BOX of halves, I expect her to actually order me a box of machine-rolled halves from Brinks...
However, I found absolutely zero. There were an awful lot of casino coins in there. Also a LOT of shiny 1997-P halves. I always get a bunch of those....too bad they are not worth more than face value...
I would at least like to find a 1974-D DDO...I mean that would make my day, as they are worth a lot more than yer average 90%'er.
I did find 2 extra halves though...so I made a dollar for 4 hours of sorting through them.
I believe I am going to begin ordering through another branch, as even though I have always been polite to this teller, and thanked her for ordering these boxes....she acts as though she wishes I would just go away, like I ruin her day whenever I order them.
So as far as I am concerned, she can keep her miserable butt to herself, and I will go to a branch where they will gladly order FRESH MACHINE ROLLED BOXES.

I am going to Seattle on vacation in a few weeks, and I believe I will try a branch there, as there will be most likely a lot more S mint marks....here in the middle Tennessee area all I get are D and P stuff.
Happy hunting everybody!
