I hunted an old stone foundation in a wooded area on the eastern edge of Kansas City, MO. No idea how old it is.

There wasn't enough time to do it justice, but I found three cut nails, an iron or steel ring about 3" diameter, and junk. Lots of leaves and brush, but nice soft soil made for easy digging. It's probably been picked through already, many times.

A fellow (non-metallic) searcher found the skull of a whitetail buck nearby, complete with antlers.

I spent an hour at Loose Park in Kansas City the day before, and found nothing but 12 pull tabs, 2 bottle caps, and a clad dime.

Any horse people out there? I think the round ring is part of a horse bit.

I was hoping for something more like a $10 gold piece.

I am going to perform electrolysis on the ring. Nothing better to do.

You're a little more brave then me LOL. I live up in Maryville and it is so cold and the ground is like concrete up here. I hope we get that rain next week like thay are calling for so it will thaw out the ground a little. I think that's a cinch ring off of a saddle but I am not 100% sure.

I like your Avatar Pic... Cool pic!

Keep @ it and HH!!

Bound to be some keepers there. :icon_pirat: Take something with you to cut those bushes back next time. I had a site where the bushes were growing up around the well, and I cut them back. Glad I did! I found several goodies around it. :)
