Almost had a good one! Found this Liberty Cap half cent at Colonial Camp, near Williamsport Md. It is hard to make out!

Congrats on a rare find! Definitely minted somewhere from 1794 to 1797. You might try placing a piece of thin tracing paper over the Obverse and do a pencil rub to see if the Date will show on the tracing paper. I will definitely hope for you that it is a 1796 with no pole!
