Half Dime and Dragoons Button from this weekend

Just getting around to posting Saturdays finds.
Went back to the half dime field and had every intention of picking a small area and trying to dig out "Every" signal, but that didn't happen.
Even brought a 5 gal bucket with me.
The iron was so thick I got intimidated and decided to just move around and dig any good signal and all the iffy signals that sounded a little off.

Ended up with one 1841-0 Seated Half Dime.
#6 US Half Dime dug from this site. Still no old coppers.
Also dug a toasted 1830s-40s US Dragoons Button.
#3 Dragoon Button of this type from the site.

Went back Sunday and got skunked. I think I was a little sore from digging all the junk on Saturday, and just wasn't feeling it.
Finds are getting slim for this site, and the ground is getting hard from not having any rains.
Planning on going back again after the next rain.

Awesome Half dime and button. You pulled 6 and I am still looking for my 1st. Sounds like you need a smaller coil to continue picking the goodies from that site.

You got two nice finds that I have never dug! Those one piece convex Dragoon buttons are rarely found.

Great digs picker, found my first half dime as well, a 1858, only a few feet from a federal eagle button

I've never found a half-dime. Yours looks to be in remarkably good condition. I always carry a 5 gallon bucket with me at an old site.

I'd go back to this site after a rain and either put a different size coil on or change the settings on your machine (or both) and pound it again.
