Half dollar key dates / error coins?

In 1998 the US mint issued a special collectors' coin set that honored John F. Kennedy's brother, Robert F. Kennedy (RFK). The set contained the RFK Commemorative Silver Dollar and a specially struck proof Kennedy half dollar with a matt/satin finish. Since only 63,000 coins were struck at the San Francisco mint, collectors will pay a premium for an example of this rare coin.

1998 S mint burnished half is the true key for kennedy half. Featured above. Never been found by any CRHer I know of.

1970-d - 2 million or so population. you will eventually find this. This is the more commonly known key date.

This is the answer to key date.

Error coins... well...That is a HUGE question. I look for no FG sometimes. That's about it. Clipped planchet every now and again.

Thanks :)

1987P D S, no? 1955... Not sure that there are any others? I wasn't aware of the 1998 one. I am sure the numismatic scholars will chime in sooner or later. There is probably a previous post with the answer too.

What about presidential gold dollars, any error ones?
