Nice finds. Nothing like getting a little hammered in the afternoon! Cheers

Very nice finds!

a little worn... looks awesome to me, just saying

Very nice finds. I am truly jealous of the history you get to dig over there. Congrats on the success and thanks for sharing.

Yep nice to see you pull something different for a change lol

Three nice keepers there Rob, always nice to see the mounts with both lugs still attached on them. What's the ham?

Your on a great roll with those hammered!

I believe those types of leather mount are just post-medieval.

Yes done well on the Hammered Cru, there thinning out a bit though now.

Here's some pictures after cleaning. Can't make the mint, coin struck from worn dies. On the kings face there's a die crack , a sign that the die had been used a lot.

Robert.

Must be Obv [EDWAR] ANGL DNS HYB, but like you say the rev has little clues.

With the reverse spaces of letters seen I think it can only be ED I - VILL[A BE]RR[EWYCI] - Berwick on Tweed?

I think I got a mount close to that one, nice haul!
Take Care,
Pete,:hello:
