I am new to this so i will do my best to describe what i found. it stands about 3 feet tall, carved out of a piece of wood. It has 3 kids on it a boy is climbing a tree, a girl is pushing him up the tree, and another boy is sitting by himself covering his ears. it is very well done. it also has 2 huts in the background, there are very fine details in it

I spent some time researching this when it was first posted. I was hoping it depicted a scene from some famous African folklore but I could not find anything similar.

In Ghana there is a proverb:

"If you find a good tree, someone will always help you climb it.”

OR

"If you climb a good tree, you get a push."

That's really a good quote matching your artwork. These types of handcrafted African artworks always have some unique meaning. Each and every artwork has unique design and meaning. Africans used these artworks in the rituals and ceremonies. The most popular art form they used is the African masks. Performers wear and dance according to the expression of the mask. Visit Nyami African Masks, if you are interested in these African artworks and wall decors.

Hi I am from South Africa, you can see many of those curios being sold next to the road, in dollar terms you are looking at around $20 for a piece like that, where did you find it?
