Quartz Choppers are out there. That one is either oddly shaped or the photos can't capture it very well. The Bit-End appears to be on that white edge. One of the things I have to sometime do to get the photos to show quartz details off, is to play with the lighting and shading via editing. maybe take a photo under high Lumens of that worked edge and then darken it with editing. I know it sounds counter productive, but it works for me.

Below is a hand sized quartz Backed Knife, that is as it was found; erose and razor sharp. As you can see quartz is frustrating to capture in photos.

Thank you for that! I know, it’s so hard to get the details in quartz. Here are more pics in the sun, you can see a little more detail. If it has been native America worked, it may be a piece that was in the process of being worked and not finished as well? Thanks for your help, your knife is awesome!

That type of quartz is called vein quartz. You might find some gold flakes in the area. That type of quartz was used if they could find a decent piece. It fractures in many shapes. I believe your piece is just a natural nodule of the type. Hot and cold temperatures can cause it to crack off the mother stone.

Thanks for that info!
