This is a 2 day hunt about 4 hours total, just to hot here in VA. Started Tuesday we went looking for a house that was on civil war map in a newly logged area. We hit a couple of hills before we came across the house site and my first signal was a early flat button. We only hunted for about an hour but in total I found 4 flat buttons and 4 arrowheads. My son and dad found a couple arrowheads also. I figured today we would go back and hunt as long as we could before the heat got to us. Well I was only there for about 5 min had my first signal turned out to be a plain flat button, 10 min later had a solid 84 on the deus and out pops another flat button so I give it a quick wipe on the shorts and i could see that it was a light artillery button
I managed to find another flat button and a flying eagle cent 1858 my son also found a bayonet scabbard tip and flat button. 
hopefully we'll get a cooler day and spend more time
