Hi There *
im searching for further information on a 'steamer/wardrobe trunk' that was left to me by my granny..
on the name plate it reads:
" HARTMAN WARDROBE'
RACINE WI.
it is brown with a bit of a 'aztec' design. & only 1 lock toward the right front.& the lock is a 'YALE # H-5I7 WITH hartman on the lower name plate where the lock comes out of it..If any one has any information plz email me: moonlitecowgrl@yahoo.com.. thank yall..

i went to that hartman site & sent a email to the C.S & told them what i was wanting to know..
they did a reply & the havd foreward my 'inquiry' to thei archieve dept, & just waiting to hear back from them..
I just wanted to update yall on whats goin on with this blasted trunk!

Info Gypsy gave you is good.

They put their name on it and made models for
different stores; think the plate I have was from
a model sold at Marshall Fields in Chicago.
