I found this at the spot that produced several real nice coins, tombac buttons and other goodies. I can't seem to quit the site, and am digging everything. This little chain is totaly flat and made of lightweight metal. I would not have even bothered to post, but something about it reminds me of the trade goods occasionaly posted here. Thank you for any input.

Looks like aluminum. Did they use aluminum on window weights?

It is VERY flimsy and light. It would not support any weight. the whole thing weighs less than .01 gram. The shape of the link seems to have more curves than it would need for utility.

I'd say aluminum; seen a bunch of this stuff.

Worth as much as two or three pull tabs maybe.
