Has anyone found Gold while CRHing?

I imagine it has happened a few times but I have (so far) been reading through post back to Jan and have not seen a word about it? I think it would be interesting to hear the story if anyone has found gold in rolls before. What did you/they find and what denomination rolls were they in? Maybe if all the gold finds came from one denomination, like nickel rolls, I'll take up something other than halves

Anyway, lets hear some stories and see some pics

3 months ago I found a gold 1970 us dime. I about flipped. Then I checked and found that someone had apparently plated the thing to look that way as no real Gold us dimes were ever made, rats.

I seem to remember something similar, but can't put a finger on it.

On another board I frequent, a guy's wife came home with a roll of dimes that had a quarter eagle in a few years back.

Myself, I found, and spent, a gold plated 1967 dime.

Yeah I've actually picked out 3 gold plated 1980 halves from one box. They were also stamped 1960 / 1980 and I guess were a 20 yr JFK commemorative/novelty coin.

I've found 4 gold plated half's 1971+ I'm sure they aren't worth anything but are kind of cool

Earlier this year I found a woman's 14K ring with a large pink stone. It was in the hopper of the self serve coin counter at my dump bank

July we found a $1 gold coin. 1916 McKinley memorial, I never heard of it before, less than 10,000 made lists for $600 in a.u. . It came in a bag of dimes was very exciting. hit 64 silver dimes Wed. Dan

Sorry, I could not resist (thought I certainly would love to find any gold coin in a box or roll). Mr. Apush keeps all the gold "colored" coins as well as the "painted" silver ones. It drives me crazy. He says if the kids really make him mad, that will be their inheritance.
