Has anyone had any "electrical" problems with their DFX?

I recently bought a new DFX 300. I used it for a total of approximately 45 minutes when the screen went blank and I could not turn it back on. I changed the batteries in case that was the problem and it was no help. I returned it to the dealer that I bought it from and it was replaced with no problem. I was wondering if anyone else has had any similar problems with their DFX. I used the new one for about an hour today. It works great. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks,

J

Sounds like a lemon. I have the standard DFX and it has been flawless.

I've had my DFX for more than 5 years and in that time I am rough on my machines.
The only issues I've had, is after 3 years of use the screen started to fade considerably and began to
get lines in the readout area, (after 3 years of hard labor)
I return the machine and Whites replaced the pad free.
Since then I have been using my backup DFX (I have for this purpose) and now after 2-3 years
it is acting somewhat like what you describe, but where I will be out hunting and turn the machine off for
some reason and when I go to turn it back on it won't do anything..... (both times this has happened we were hunting in the rain, so it might be moisture related)
After a few minutes and pulling the battery pack and rechecking everything and still nothing, it suddenly
comes back on again and seems to work fine.
Of course I am hard on my machines and the way I treat them probably borders on abuse.....
So I can't blame Whites for this...
But it has happened similar to your description but only after 2-3 years of hard hunting....
