Interesting find. It appears to be a 'rim cud'.
It could also be PMD (post mint damage).
I'm hoping you can confirm a large 'rim cud' (an error coin)

It's raised and the rest of the coin, including the error side, appears unscathed if that helps.
 

Pic of the reverse please. The strike should be weak opposite the cud. Rim cud is actually kinda a misnomer. All cuds attach to the rim.
 

it appears that the rim is there , which indicates possible solder. also shoot the reverse, which should be normal. a tighter shot of both sides in natural daylight please :laughing7:
