Has anyone used the Aurora Aqua Pulse detector?

this thing got my attention but i just dont see $500+ in electronics there. that price is out of line when you can get a fullsize detector like a tigershark for just a tad more. it seems like a great little device to cary in your pocket while snorkeling though. maybe if it was more like $250 or less i'd buy into it.
