Below are a few pictures that I took during a recent hunt. I thought you might enjoy seeing the under water detector. He’s hunting an area known for a big hole where coins and jewelry collect. It’s usually rewarding, but the waves at that beach break sharply and it can be dangerous. I was hunting the wet sand that day at the high tide line. A few clad coins and multiple “Bobby Pins”. I have hunted that beach numerous times and for some reason, I came away with about 15 “Bobby Pins” that morning. The picture of the bay and small buoy is the start of the World Championship Iron Man Triathlon in Kona Hawaii. Thousand of swimmers start at that point and complete a distance of 2.4 miles and then begin the bike distance of 112 miles. They ultimately finish with a 26.2 mile run. They’re almost as dedicated as my fellow metal detectorist. :laughing7: I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Nice photos, thank you for sharing!

Makes me think of 2010 when I was on the Big Island for a Robotics Competition. Three day competition and 4 days of site seeing. The cool thing was the College paid for everything...never did metal detect.

Sounds like you had a good time. There is a lot to see on the big island.

Very nice pictures, thanks for sharing.
