Took a trip today from Baton Rouge to Hazlehurst Miss. home of my wife's grandparents and allot of other family. Brought my detector and got to talking to Angelas uncle. Come to find out he also dirt hunts and asked if I wanted to go and look by some old houses on a friends property. He said the place was unhunted. There was iron everywheres! The ground was very easy to dig. I dug up whats in the pictures. Most of it was about 5 inches down. I started out discriminating but there was absolutely no trash so I went to all metal, lots of sensitivity and got hits all over the place. He kind of limited the time we spent. I assume he wants to go back and get the rest of the goodies. Theres an old wrench that I found as well as a door hinge and an Ax. I don't know what the big thing is, sort of chisel shaped.

You had a beautiful day to get out. Those finds are about like what I find here. But, just getting out and enjoying yourself at old farm sites is a trip in itself...you just never know what you'll find. You did good and it was a lot of digging...betcha gonna be sore. ;D
