Yesterday I got going early to head to Cañon City, Colo. and back. The skies over the front range were pretty hazy when the sun came up and still that way when I got home. When it looks hazy like this the weather people call this an Inversion. What ever it is, it does make for some interesting looking skies. So there you have it is no longer referred to a hazy day, but an inversion instead. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inversion_(meteorology)

First day in awhile that we didn't have an inversion loaded with smoke. Wind from out of the northwest blew the smoke away.
