hi.Em them again and ask them what secret? Basically for detectors, they can only be of one of the followng

a) simple amplificaton.
b) amplification with phase and freq separation.
C) Amplification with sound cancelling properties, no too complicated.

d) both b & c combined.

No, I do not work on them, but I do have a basic knowledge of electronics. presumably any radio repair shop should be able to fix them unless they have a faulted ic unit of private manufacture.
