Headed to Floyd VA

Hey all. Have a friend who bought a significant amount of property in the area of Floyd. Headed down for a week to visit and hunt some of it. While I'm there is there anyplace else worth checking out? Not asking for your secret places or honey holes. Just don't know much about the area and its history so I figured I'd ask. Given how much land he bought I could just spend the whole week hunting that!
