Headphones Poll--Single or Dual Ear Pieces--Ear Bud or Cup

Here is what i am looking for.
I am using a single ear piece,over the head,mono sound earphone.
What i am curious about is this,what style of headphone do you want,or want to use.

First,Single or Dual sound pieces.

Next:
Over the head
Ear Bud that slide in
Ear Bud with the loop that holds it onto your ear

I am using single so i can hear bears,rattlesnakes,or unwanted people.
If you do not use headphones,which one would you use if you where to use them.

I have been using Duel headphones and cant really imagine using a single. Seems that too many signals would go past me, on a noisy beach or windy day. I try to keep in motion and turn around often, to keep the unwanted people at a scoops reach. Our snakes dont rattle, so hearing is not a lot of help.

If you walked around the AZ desserts,you be glad for a single ear piece.
I once had 2 rattlers singing there tune at the same time. Talk about the hair raising on your neck.
