I picked up two broken candle holders at a yard sale for a dollar each. They were marked Sterling 950. These were not your usual weighted ones. The bottom part was filled with plaster but the top was hollow. It also had a hammered finished bottom. Well they were not salvageable so I broke them down and put them on the scale. I was blown away that they were 169.4 g or 5.44 ounces. These were by far the heaviest candlesticks I've ever found!

You've got to love it when people hand you precious metal for pennies on the dollar!! One dollar for $80+ worth of silver is a great day!!
