Hi, I am hoping somebody can help me identify the make of this lamp! I haven't been able too!In picture you will see someone soldered a light socket bottom to the lamps wick housing. I want to restore it to oil burning; it will use a round wick (1"). Sure hope somebody out there is familar with this lamp! Thanks for reading.

Where do you put the oil in? Looks to me like it might have always been an electric lamp made to look like a kerosene lamp.

Hi, Good question, looks to me like you have to partially disassemble it to refill with oil, I,m sending some pics of lamp being taken apart, down inside font there is a spiral (spring like) part that wick sits inside and I assume wick has a tab that rides in the spiral steading it as gear on top raises and lowers wick. Thank you, any help is appreciated!oillampdisassembly 012.webpoillampdisassembly 010.webpoillampdisassembly 009.webpoillampdisassembly 008.webpoillampdisassembly 011.webp

I have been searching for some type of hallmark on it with a magnifying glass; lamp was extremely stained and dirty. I have spent 2 hours cleaning to get it to it's current state. I will keep cleaning and inspecting with glass! All I have to do is rewire it to return it to electric lamp, just hate to do that if it is worth more as a oil burning original- all I need is a wick for that-and chimney of course! Lamp is 15" tall and weighs 7lbs 5oz. all brass. In my searches I have found that there are alot of manufactures through the years.thank you.

I would wait to do any mods to it until you find out exactly what you have.

I agree 100%; I want to find out what I have before moving forward. Eventually someone will come along that has seen this lamp before. Thank you!
