Found this digging in my back yard. House has been here since 1854. It measures 4" tall x 1.5" wide. looks like the top was round at one time. There is a name on it but hard to read. TRE--X-? Weight is 8.5 ozs. I'am stumped... Copper 004.webpCopper 002.webpCopper 001.webpCopper 003.webp

Wondering if it might not be some kind of ornate handle from a cranking mechanism. The top picture appears to show circular wearing and "wallowing" like might be expected from a well worn crank handle that had a metal washer and metal brad holding it to a shaft..

No idea what it is, but it looks cool. I'd use it for a paperweight.

I googled trebex just for the heck of it and that's the name of a watch maker. Maybe they made clocks and maybe that's a weight from one of the clocks.

Might represent a pine cone if it's a clock weight, but I favor the handle, and the "decorations" were for grip.

I think Unclemac may be on to something...
Here is a two headed hand garden sprinkler I have on my garden shed.
