O.K., I know this one isn't too exciting, but any idea what it is? I'm thinking:
A) An anchor from the Titanic,
B) Part of a 1986 YUGO,
C) A piece of landing gear from a UFO,
D) A piece off some farm equipment.
"D" may be the right answer?
I actually found it buried about 18" deep on a playground. It was quit a workout getting this beast out of the ground, as it was stuck in a very wet clay like soil. I had to dig through the bark layer, then through the dirt, and finally to the clay. The piece weights in at about 30 lbs. Anyone need a door stop?

To me it looks like a piece of plate metal that was used to cut out squares for welding square pipe.

I think you should...

A. Tie a rope to it and use it as an anchor!
B. Put it in the trunk of a 1986 YUGO for weight!
C. Throw it real high, take a photo of it, claim it's a UFO!
D. Frame that baby and hang it in your living room... after all that work to dig it up I'd pretend it's worth something!

:D ;D ...or as a doorstop. :D

I have no idea what it is, but I bet MiddenMonster is close... prolly used to make the playground equipment or part of landfill there. Good luck finding out!

It's a piece of a jigsaw puzzle that belongs to the jigsaw God, the keeper of all those missing pieces of jugsaw puzzles that you only discover when the puzzle is finished and you find it lacking the last piece. Whew! Try to say that sentence without catching your breath. ::) Monty
Seriously I think it's just a piece of scrapmetal. MB

It may have been buried and used as a support to hold up post structures attached to play ground equiptment. Just a thought.
