Done very little detecting for the last month due to various reasons. Did manage a couple of hours yesterday on an old Roman site. Found this very large lead weight, it weighs 14.5 ounce. Seen these weights classed as Roman steelyard weights , but it could be more modern.

I am curious to why some UK hunters have names with robfinds, finds, and so forth? Is it just a coincidence? I do remember CRUSADER's previous username being "dugfinds".

Weights are interesting. Could also be a plumb bob for construction, making those straight line. HH, Mike
