Hello and Happy New Year! New guy from S.E. Michigan.

Hi Everyone,

I got my first detector for Christmas this year and I'm looking forward to exploring the hobby in 2024. Before the ground totally freezes here in Michigan I was able to get outside and test it. I'm still learning the ins and outs of the detector but I did dig up some large chunks of iron and my first coin, a 1992 dime. It may just be a dime to most people, but it's the first bit of treasure I found and it was exciting.
I gotta tell you; I think I may already be hooked.
I would love to find other people in my area that are into detecting or a group that I could join.

Hi from the mitten also. A great club is the Michigan Treasure Hunters out of Livonia. I’m in SE too. Good luck and learn and dig as much as you can. Especially a clean plug.
