Hello, I'm Mike and I am definitely new to metal detecting. I had been kicking around the idea of getting a metal detector since this past summer and I finally did it this week. I got my Garrett AT Pro this week and am looking forward to starting the hunt this weekend. I have been looking at the pictures of the various finds on the site and they are pretty cool. I've already picked up some tips from the various forums on this site. Looking forward to sharing pictures of my finds with everybody. I am located in Virginia and will probably due most of my hunting in VA, WV, NC, and MD hopefully. I retired from the Navy in 2004 and currently work for the government. Glad to meet everybody on this site.
