Hello from central North Carolina

Hello everyone. My wife and I have just started metal detecting about two months ago. We bought a Minelab Equinox 800. We were looking for a hobby that we could enjoy together. I usually carry the detector and my wife does the pinpointing. In a very short time, we have come to love it! This is also the first time we have joined or participated in a forum so please bear with us. We have found some pretty neat items so far. This past Sunday, we found our first (and only so far) three ringer. We also found a J hook about three feet from it. We will learn how to upload pictures and share them with everyone.
