Hello from Germany

Hello everyone. I'm new here and interested in getting started in metal detecting. My wife and I are looking forward to getting outdoors this spring here in Germany. She is in the Air Force so we will have access to all the military areas around us. I figured I'd come on here and see if there were any other active members in Germany ( Baden-Württemberg, Mannheim area) that would like to get together and talk. Any good adve for me here would be greatly appreciated as I am brand new to all of this. Thanks and hope to get to know some people and share my future finds here.
