Hi all. I believe I signed on in Nov. Haven't posted anything till now. Can't believe what some of the finds people are posting!!! Apparently I have a lot to learn. I started by digging bottles in NJ, then moved to Martin County FL (the lower end of the "Treasure Coast"), and bought a blue Excal 1000. Had tons of fun on the beaches there and found, what I thought was, a lot of good stuff. Moved back north to the Philadelphia area but didn't get out once in 3 years detecting there. Moved to Washington county Maine a year and a half ago and, finally, got out with detector again. I love it! Already found some newer coins and other items but am waiting to see how the new Minelab Equinox pans out before I get a dedicated semi dry land detector. Other than that, the other time I spend outdoors is for bowhunting and some fly fishing. All the time though, I'm either scouting for bowhunting or scouting for detecting places while I'm bowhunting. Again, I'm shocked at the finds here. I really thought I was doing good. Yikes!!!
