Tesoro Cibola, AT Pro

All Treasure Hunting
Hello everyone. I've been reading the board for a while and decided I'd finally sign up. I started metal detecting two summers ago. I started with a Tesoro Cibola. I bought an AT Pro last year. I really like them both and I still have a lot to learn about both of them. That's one of the reasons I enjoy this site so much. There is a vast amount of knowledge, and it's so cool to see what everyone is finding. Anyway, thanks for having me and I look forward to getting to know everyone. HH

Welcome to Tnet fellow M*******.Why are we here?I dont mean in Tnet I mean in this state:laughing9:

Thanks RJC. That's a great question. I'm from down south so I ask myself that everyday. My wife's from up here so I guess that's why. Have you been able to go digging this year with all this freaking snow?

I know what you mean,I moved back here a while ago from New Hampshire, bad mistake. No digging from me here yet,I just got my car back on the road plus the ground is probably still frozen,i havent checked yet.I did a little research of my area(i moved a few months ago)and found a reference to a mid 1600s french fort.I'm going to have to take a closer look at it.

Hello also From Mass. I Live on cape cod. Metal detecting for years. Beach and land. Your not going to find a better site. Most forums are the same. But this forum has it all. You see everyone's ups and downs and their a great bunch. Welcome!!!

I hear you RJC. I went out for about an hour yesterday. I should've taken some snow shoes. There was still quite a bit of snow where I went and it made walking difficult. I did find an old brooch I think may be from the 1800's just because I've found quite a few other things from that time period close by, including a Large Cent and an old croatal bell...I found some old rusty nails too..never fails. Good luck with that Fort. That sounds awesome! Thanks Frankie. I get down to the Cape every now and then but have never took my detector. I'm sure there's plenty of nice stuff down there.

That's what I love about metal detecting. You never know what you're going to dig up. Also, every piece has it's own story. Wouldn't you love to know the back story of how things got there. And then we're lucky enough to come along and dig them up.
