All Treasure Hunting
Hello all,

A few weeks ago, I visited the Outer Banks in North Carolina and rented a crappy metal detector for the duration of our stay. I had lots of fun but I found nothing more than modern pocket change and trash. Although my search for doubloons was unsuccessful, I had a lot of fun with it.

A few days ago, I started looking into purchasing a metal detector to use here in Michigan. Today, I purchased a Minelab Equinox 600 metal detector and Pro-Find 35 pinpointer. I know it's probably overkill for a beginner like me, but I really liked the multi-frequency capabilities. I just went to a local park for two hours and found more pocket change (and trash) than I found in one week on the beach. I'm looking forward to the thrill of the hunt and perhaps even finding some buried treasure!

Welcome to TreasureNet. Good luck!

Welcome fellow Michigander! Keep looking and the goodies will surface. Remove all trash you see and find and it will happen sooner than later!

Welcome from The Thumb, you will love the NOX, use park 1 and dig everything repeatable, I suggest hitting a park to learn the tones..

Welcome to Tnet from Mississippi

I'm in Canton.

An old Westland boy myself, and some of the tree's DNA goes through Wayne and Eloise. Got a few places down there I'd like to go to someday.

Next time i'm cruising my time machine down thatta way, I'll stagger through Canton and see what I can remember.

Just seeing the name got me to question a couple places I used to play back in the late 1900's.

Not that I know everything about Canton that is. Perhaps my old mammories could be of use to you.
