Hello! I'm new to the metal detecting hobby, and I live on the sunny Gulf Coast in Pensacola, FL. I've always wanted to get into this hobby, so I recently broke down and got myself a Garrett AT Pro. The weather here has been rough lately, so I haven't taken it out as much as I would have liked. But, I have found 2 or 3 coins with it already at a local beach (and a bunch of junk), which was fun. I'm hoping to hit the Perdido River here in my area, which apparently can give up some good, old stuff in certain areas. I also would like to do some more beach hunting, and I just found the local club's page on Facebook.
Anyways, I'm looking forward to learning some tips and tricks from the pros on this site, and I hope to meet some fellow enthusiasts in my area for some group hunts.
