Just being neighborly and saying hello.

My whole family loves the outdoors and camp, fish, hunt and explore outta the way spots.

As a kid my folks took me rockhounding and we did some prospecting. Dad had a Whites detector and found some good stuff in old parks. My wife said I need a new hobby so I got myself a Garrett AT Gold.

I love to hunt but my state is oppressively anti-hunter

I love to fish but my state is now becoming anti-fisherman

I hope they don't become anti-detectoring!

Hope to pickup some good advice and help here. One day I may be able to help others in return.

Your best bet would be SoCal Beaches . Water detectors and a good scoop can get expensive to start but yiu could always start at the towel line dry sand. That’s how I started many moons ago and been. Hooked ever since.
