Good to have ya here '64 from middle Georgia. I am returning to the sport after a hiatus in which I had an MXT Pro as a first machine that was a bit much for a newbie at the time. Got both a Tesoro Mojave and Equinox 800 that I'll be trying to learn for the next several years. There's some awesome knowledge over in the manufacturers section where all the machines old and new have followings with lots of questions, advice opinions and ribbing. Hope you enjoy it here, but it's addicting so be careful!!

Welcome!

Hi There OKdirtfisher64 and welcome back to the Hunt!

As you know from past experience, now that you have your next new love you must learn how to take care of it so it treats you right. Just like any new relationship you must learn about your partner. Learn and practice, practice and learn also throw in some experimentation, a test garden of buried metal 'stuff' and some trips out for practice.

Where to go? Look for the largest trees on the horizon, go to them and ask permission to detect. If you dig plugs when you fold it over on the hinge point plunk it down on a towel and put any extra dirt from the hole on the towel as this will help you to return the spot to its original appearance.

As has already been mentioned here, there is a brands section where you will likely find your machine being discussed and as well when you have a question post it here as folks will respond. Have fun and the best of luck to you..............63bkpkr
