I have been a lurker on this site for a while. So far, I have enjoyed the site and learned a lot. It gets stupid hot and humid in my area during the summer, so I do not do much detecting. When it starts cooling down a bit I be out detecting again. Hopefully I will find something worth sharing.

vpnavy: I have already checked out the Florida Sub-Forum. State sub-forums, Our Discoveries, Treasure forum, Metal Detecting forum, Gold Prospecting forum…The list goes on and on. It is crazy how many sections this site has and the amount of information that is on it.

sandswimmer: Thanks for the heads up on the local club. A few years back I went to one of their meetings and joined for a year. They seemed to be a great group that had their act together. I am not sure why, but I never made another meeting and let my membership run out. I keep telling myself to go to another meeting and become a member again. The place they meet at is a few minutes down the road from me.
