Have played with detectors in the past but nothing serious. Life changes and planning on getting serious. I am confused with the preice ranges of them You would think they would be like computers with electronics. Pretty much all the same and capabilities. I imagine advice is asked for daily here. LOL. Well if anyone is near the dells and would not mine passing on some operational experience I would appreciate it.

Goldbear. Welcome from another WI hunter. I used to detect years ago (in the early 70's) and just got back into it 4 years ago. Just like everything else, nothing is cheap. Good Luck and happy hunting. I detected around the Dells a couple of years ago. The only place that I found old coins were at old homes. PJ
