Im new here just got a metal detector a Teknetic gamma 6000. Is this a good detector.

Welcome aboard! Take a look at Sub-Forums: Pennsylvania for information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state. As far as your Teknetic Gamma 6000 - once you have used it for a while and start understanding what it is telling ya - it will be just as good as a very expense MD.

Welcome from NE Texas !! The Gamma will find you some good stuff. You may find it a little proned to electrical interference but reducing the sensitivity should take care of that. Sometimes cell phones will even effect this so if you are having trouble you might check that. And remember, No steel toed boots or shoes !!
