Hello TN! Need Recommendations

Hello TreasureNet Members,

I was so happy to find this site it is great. Well I am Tim and I am a 50 year old newbie here. I live in Orlando and I frequent the beach and want to get involved in this great hobby. I have read so many things on what I need however I thought I would ask the experts the ones who do this! I am going to purchase a metal detector set up and I need advice on what would be the best for me. I want to use it on the beach as well as inland. I also want it to be water proof as well so I can go in shallow waters as well. Please let me know what your recommendations are. I would greatly appreciate it. Looking forward to getting to know this community better as well. Thanks so much.
