Hello today at work I found what I think is a point. I was hoping for some information about what this is. Thank you

First, welcome to the forums. Second, I do believe you are right, that is a quartz point. If you scroll way down the main page here there is an artifacts form. Or you can use the link posted below. Post your find there.

I moved thread to our Indian Artifact Forum for you.

Welcome to the forums, from Iowa.
That looks like a nice quart point.
Martha’s Vineyard. Was it close to the water?

From the pictures posted, it looks like a quartz Clovis worked down to nub'n...

Is it possible to find out exactly how old this point is or what it is exactly? Could somebody help me out thank you

Exactly? No. But you can get an approximation based on the style of point and where it was found.

It's hard to accurately date a lot of points.

Quartz is a hard one to tell sometimes from a photo on the net. Sometimes a black or red background will help but not in direct sunlight.

I saw a potential Clovis too but I don’t have any hands on experience with quartz or artifacts from that area so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

Welcome to Tnet! Nice Find!
