I don't really post my finds very often...but last Sunday was probably the best day I've ever had at my favourite relic site. I felt like I'd pretty much hunted this site out so wasn't expecting too much. So after my hour hike to the location I try to choose the most methodical approach to try and find something. Normally a good day for me is 3 or 4 buttons. After 20 minutes or so I get a nice solid mid tone. Around 53 on the F75 VDI. It wasn't one signal though and I thought it may be just a few shell casings....couldn't have been more surprised when I dug this lot up! It looks as though this may have been a bunch of plith helmets burnt in a pile at the end of the war? All about 3 -5inches. The wagon wheel shape things are the top vent of a plith helmet. All in all a mind blowing day.
