Help id Indian war site finds

I found some more unknown items while hunting the 1870 Indian battle site.
The hollow item is brass, it seems to be crudely cast and it has two holes drilled into the side.
The iron item looks decorative. Thanks

I forgot to add the inside of the brass item is smooth

The iron thing seems to be part of wagon box framing/rig, strap tie-down......whatever.
The brass thing might be part of wagon brake...??
